Dr. Kim is a Korean-born veterinarian and earned DVM and MS degrees from Seoul National University. After surgical training at SNU in Korea, he had further surgical and research training at Michigan State University and the University of California-Davis. He completed a small surgery residency at UC Davis. He has served as faculty at UC Davis and Michigan State University and is currently an associate professor of small animal surgery at Purdue University. His research interest is biomechanics and gait analysis, three-dimensional modeling and printing, computer-assisted orthopedic surgery, and ergonomics in veterinary surgeons. His clinical interest includes orthopedic traumas, especially articular/juxta-articular fractures and minimally invasive fracture repair, deformities, arthroscopy, joint replacement, comparative (exotic animal) orthopedics, etc. - all about orthopedics.
