Three-dimensional printing or additive manufacturing, previously known as rapid prototyping, is becoming increasingly popular in veterinary medicine as a method of reproducing anatomy for the management of cases. As medical 3D printing gain popularity, various uses of 3D printing to improve patient care have been reported. This session will detail the typical process of 3D printing in veterinary surgery and commonly reported applications such as corrective osteotomy, neurosurgery, joint replacement, fracture repair, and replicas of bones as well as how to build in-house 3D printing laboratory. Experts in 3D printing will discuss the safety and efficacy of medical 3D printing used for patient care.
