During this day a diverse variety of anesthesia topics will cover teaching modalities using modern technology, such as simulation models, virtual teaching, to then provide reviews on the latest local anesthetic nerve block techniques in small and large animals as well as on equine anesthesia topics. In addition, the use of peripheral alpha-2 antagonism with the use of alpha-2 agonist sedative drugs to ameliorate cardiovascular adverse effects, the use of co-induction techniques and their impact on healthy and critical cases, and the use of balanced anesthetic techniques in horses.
