During this day the theme of the topics relates to organ function during hypoxia as it how relates to the anesthetized patient. It will cover aspects of renal function, use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and prefer timing of administration, fluid support during intraoperative hemorrhage, effects and indications for different inspired oxygen fractions during delivery of inhalant anesthetics, management of the geriatric horse and their recovery from anesthesia, and an update on mortality rate in equine anesthesia.
