Dr Jayne McGhie BVSc MANZCVS DACVS-SA. PhD Candidate, School of Animal and Food Sustainability, University of Queensland.
Jayne gained her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons I) from the University of Queensland in 1994 and working in private and university practice until 2008 when she started her residency in Small Animal Surgery at Murdoch University, Perth Australia. She became a Diplomat in 2014 and worked as a clinical academic in the School of Veterinary Science, University of Queenland until Jan 2021. In July 2021, Jayne started her PhD investigating Early Indicators of Heat Stress in Operational Police Dogs. Her research looks at core body temperature, intramuscular temperature and behavioural change in working police dogs during exercise, training and operational activities.
