Veterinary Nursing Director

Jessica obtained a veterinary technician degree from Purdue University as well as a liberal arts degree in biology, sociology and anthropology from Albion College. Currently she is pursuing a master's in management, human resources and leadership at the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business. Jessica has an array of clinical experience in settings from general practice to specialty/referral hospitals and resides in academia. She is currently employed at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she is the Veterinary Nursing Director overseeing all veterinary technicians/nurses, veterinary assistants and central sterilization for both the small and large animal staff. She is one of a limited number of veterinary technician anesthesia and analgesia specialists in the world through the AVTAA. Jessica enjoys lecturing to all veterinary team members and has been asked to speak at many local and national conferences on anesthesia and analgesia topics. Jessica hopes to build a career on forever learning, always teaching, and developing leaders in veterinary medicine.
