Dr. Justin Ganjei is a Maryland/Northern Virginia/DC native. He received both his bachelor’s degree in science and veterinary degree from Virginia Tech. Following his rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Maryland, Dr. Ganjei completed a surgical internship and residency at Veterinary Surgical Centers in Northern Virginia, where he then remained as staff surgeon after an ACVS Diplomate in 2017. Dr. Ganjei performs a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgery but has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and interventional radiology. He performs numerous advanced thoracoscopic and laparoscopic procedures not readily performed in private practice including adrenalectomy, lung lobectomy, thoracic duct ligation, and cholecystectomy, amongst others. Dr. Ganjei also utilizes interventional radiology to be able to treat non-resectable liver tumors, intra-hepatic shunts, tracheal collapse, and palliative stenting of urethral tumors, amongst others. Dr. Ganjei is an adjunct assistant professor at VMCVM, consultant for VIN, and routinely lectures nationally/internationally. In his free time Dr. Ganjei enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing with his band, the High Pressure Gradients.
