Attendees gain practical, hands-on experience applying a variety of bandages to numerous anatomic locations, including the thorax, abdomen, head and tail. We examine the different layers of a bandage and review the function of each component. We also discuss helpful tips and tricks for managing those difficult to bandage anatomic regions.
Tools and products which can be used to help protect bandages and wounds are available for demonstration. Client education pertaining to bandage care and potential complications from poorly placed and maintained bandages are also discussed.
