Open to ACVS, ECVS, and ACVAA Diplomates and residents
With newly updated content, this lab is designed to teach beginners, as well as those with more experience performing tracheal stenting, about the indications, case selection criteria, medical and interventional management, troubleshooting, difficult/complex case treatment, handling and avoiding complications, and follow-up instructions for clients and referring veterinarians. Each individual attendee learns about the decision-making process of tracheal stenting from beginning to end and will go through patient positioning, obtaining appropriate measurement radiographs, performing measurements and stent selection, and stent placement in models under visual guidance in training models. Focusing on basic as well as the most technical aspects of tracheal stenting will permit more time for case discussion and more advanced demonstration of selected stent placement tips and techniques as well as stent removal.
