The most common neurosurgical application of CAD-based planning is the determination of safe transpedicular screw trajectories. Based on this planning patient-specific guides can facilitate consistent and accurate pedicle screw placement during stabilisation of syndromes including AASL, CSM, thoracic vertebral deformities, DLSS and fractures. PSGs have also been used to facilitate hypophysectomy, and along with custom implants in the treatment of atlantooccipital malformation syndromes and vertebral neoplasia. This presentation will describe current clinical applications including integration with pedicle screw-rod and custom implant systems.
