Staff Surgeon Donnington Grove Veterinary Surgery Newbury, United Kingdom
Injuries to the deep digital flexor tendon and palmar/plantar digital annular ligaments are a well recognized cause of tenosynovitis of the digital flexor tendon sheath resulting in lameness. This lecture will discuss a tenoscopic technique for inspection and treatment of both areas. Common errors and strategies to mitigate such issues will be discussed. The outcome of horses operated at the authors hospital using such techniques will be presented.
