Over time Halsted’s method of “see one, do one, teach one” has been challenged and revised to provide additional structure and supervised skills training for novice surgeons. This session will review the current literature relating to veterinary surgical skills training. Theory and methods used to provide surgical education to veterinary students and residents will be discussed.
