Dr. Holly Stewart is an Assistant Professor of Large Animal Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center. She obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012, followed by an internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California from 2012-2013, and then a residency in large animal surgery at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center from 2013-2016. After her residency, she completed a Ph.D. program in clinical orthopedics at Colorado State University in 2021. She worked in the Preclinical Surgical Research Laboratory at Colorado State University prior to her faculty appointment at New Bolton Center beginning in 2023. Her research is focused on the development, refinement, and evaluation of experimental models of bone marrow lesions, and the optimization of volumetric imaging modalities to assess subchondral bone.
