Sarah Ciamillo, DVM is currently a first year large animal surgery resident at University of Pennsylvania, New Bolton Center. Sarah received her DVM degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona in 2019. After graduating, she moved back east and completed a one year rotating internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, New Jersey. While at New Bolton Center, her research projects have been focusing on assessing fetlock bone morphology in Thoroughbred racehorses using the standing robotic CT and positron emission tomography to investigate causes and prevention to catastrophic race injuries. Dr. Ciamillo's professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, lameness, and advanced diagnostic imaging.
