Kara Brown, VMD, DACVSMR, is currently Assistant Professor in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania, New Bolton Center. Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 2014, after which she completed a one year private practice internship at Woodside Equine Clinic. She returned to the Univeristy of Pennsylvania to complete a one year in-hospital rotating internship, one year clinical fellowship in Cardiology and Ultrasound and a residency in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation at New Bolton Center prior to accepting a position as Lecturer followed by a faculty appointment. Dr. Brown’s clinical interests include evaluation of poor performance andrecognition and treatment of axial skeletal pain in the sport horse.
