While many therapeutics exist for the treatment of joint disorders in equine and companion animals, there is still an unmet need for many patients. Intra-articular therapies are an option in many cases. At this presentation, we will discuss the role that collagen-elastin hydrogel microparticles (CEHM) biomaterial products can play in the management of joint disorders. Spryng™ is a novel, naturally derived CEHM that can be used intra-articularly in protecting the joint and augments the complimentary function of synovial fluid with cartilage and has been used concurrently with other therapeutics products to create a multi-model approach to the management of joint dysfunction.
