Canine laryngeal paralysis is caused by denervation of the intrinsic laryngeal muscles, preventing normal abduction and adduction of the arytenoid cartilages and vocal folds. The diagnosis, evolution of surgical treatment, and challenges diagnosing, treating and managing these cases will be described in this brief presentation.
